A high official of the Nazi puppet government of Slovakia has been dismissed for opposing execution of anti-Jewish measures, it was revealed last week by Sano Mach, Slovakian Minister of the Interior, addressing a meeting at the fascist Hlinka Guard political school, according to Bratislava papers received here today. Mach quoted the unnamed official as saying: “Something might happen, and then I don’t want to have the Jews turn against me.”
Rumanian newspapers reaching here, however, indicate that the pro-Nazi elements there have not lessened their anti-Jewish incitement. The Bucharest daily Forunca Vremi devotes its Christmas issue to violent attacks against the Jews. It contains a signed editorial by the paper’s editor, Radulesau, calling for an all-out effort for Germany “since only a German victory can frustrate the Jewish plan to bleed to death the non-Jewish peoples of the world.”
