The 1944 American Hebrew Medal for promotion of better understanding between Christian and Jew in this country was presented yesterday to Associate Justice Frank Murphy of the Supreme Court. “It is our privilege, it is our duty, to spread the deathless doctrines of brotherly love and understanding,” Murphy said in accepting the medal. “Only by so doing can we achieve the great American destiny.” The presentation was made by Joseph H. Biben, editor and publisher of “The American Hebrew.”
